What is the Travel Editor's Choice Feature?
Your Scene features travel photos taken by Los Angeles Times readers, both online and in print, chosen weekly by Los Angeles Times editors. Its purpose is to highlight compelling images captured by hobbyists during their travels. We cannot accept submissions by freelance journalists or professional photographers.
How to submit a photo:
Photographs should be no more than two years old, and of a destination outside of Los Angeles. We appreciate receiving only one submission per reader, and a short description of where and when the picture was taken. Please note: for print publication, photos that have been altered in any way will not be considered.
By submitting a Your Scene photo, you agree that The Times may reproduce photos in any format. Only those whose images are selected for publication will be contacted.
Online: The preferred submission method is online via http://yourscene.latimes.com by clicking [Submit a photo]. You can also submit via email to yourscene-travel@latimes.com. Digital photos must be 3 megapixels or greater, and emailed as a JPEG or TIFF attachment.
Via mail: Your Scene / Travel Los Angeles Times 202 W. 1st St. Los Angeles, CA 90012
Hard copy submissions must include the photographer's name, address, a telephone number and email address, if available.
Prints should be at least 3- by 5-inches, preferably 4- by 6-inches. It is not necessary to send large prints. Please do not mail ink-jet prints of digital photos; rather, submit digital photos as instructed above. To have your photo returned to you, you must enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope (and please make sure it's large enough for your photo).
